Coldplay: June 2, 2009

What an amazing concert!!

Having never been to a live concert (just for a band) I had never experienced something quite like this before. The energy of live music, a huge crowd, enormous performers... It was magical! They played "Lovers in Japan" nearly double time, but it was the only way it could have been played: when they get on a roll like that, the energy just has to keep rolling until it's time to end it. Though I didn't want it to end. Ever. They moved around the audience, playing a couple songs in the audience, stage right, a couple in the back of the venue. They covered "I'm a Believer" and Chris Martin did some improvisation, which was cute. He really involved the audience, and I left loving him even more! They played a song written and sung by the drummer, Will Champion, which was cool. We got a free CD on the way out with a bunch of live songs and some of the new things they played!

I stood and danced and sang for pretty much the whole thing. And it was amazing. I know that the next chance I get to go to a Coldplay concert, I will take!

I went with my bestest friend, Joanne, We looked fabulous and had a great time, even though we wore high heels :)
